I have tons to accomplish this weekend so wish me luck.  So far today I have been to the gym and started my laundry.  I need to pull out the cookie recipes as we are baking tomorrow and I need to make sure we have everything we need.  I should finish up my Christmas cards today and get them out and start wrapping gifts.  According to the weatherman we are in for a ton of snow tomorrow into Sunday so we will see how accurate that forecast is.

I am having a stack class on the 28th and need to finalize the cards I will be doing for that.  I really want to try out my new stamps from the Occasions Mini. 

Sometimes I get so caught up with the new stamps I forget my all time favorites.  Here is one of them.  I was so happy when they didn't retire Lovely as a tree.  This card uses Real Red, Whisper White and Old Olive.  It's simple and easy but such a wonderful card.

This week is flying by

just like all the other weeks.  The only difference is I am really running out of time.  Still wrapping and still making Christmas cards.  I had given myself permission to send out box cards but so far I haven't done that.  I also need to start thinking about my upcoming stack class.  I want to use sets from the new mini.  In addition I need to start some swaps for Leadership.  It never ends but I can't say I want it to either.  It is just sometimes it gets to be more than I can handle.  The swaps will have to wait until after the stack class.

I made this card that I found searching around the internet.  I used one of my favorite colors for the base - Sahara Sand.  I embossed the Real Red with the Petals-A-Plenty folder and used DSP from Christmas Cocoa Specialty.  I love this Scallop Envelope die on the front of a card.  It just adds so much.  The saying is from Many Merry Messages.  I added Dazzling Diamonds to the center of the flowers.  I was very pleased with how it turned out.

It's hump day again!

Another week is about to be half over.  I still have so much to get done.  I did go to a Christmas party last night and the snacks were delicious!  It's hard not to eat everything in sight.  I have to be in work for a while today as we are getting online training for the upcoming tax season.  Can't believe that is just around the corner.  Not my favorite time of year as I have to work so many hours.

Today I plan on sorting out the gifts I have purchased and take inventory to see if I need anything else.  It always seems one person gets way more than another.  Then it is on to wrapping!  What is your day like?

Here is another card I made recently.  Well that looks a bit blurry.  Sorry.  I only made one and it has been mailed.  I cased this one from somewhere on the internet.  I liked it because it was different.  Used Real Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Not Quite Navy and DSP from Merry Moments.

Trying to get ahead

I am just back from the gym.  Some mornings are tougher than others.  I so did not want to get up this morning.  Since I am up I figured I should post earlier today than I did yesterday.  Of course today I have to go to work.  I still haven't wrapped one gift yet.  So I don't know what's left to buy.  That is this week's project.  I am out tonight but I am sorting and wrapping the rest of the week.  At least I think I have everything in the spare room.

It's hard to tell what I did to this card from the picture.  The base is Real Red and then I used Kraft.  Don't use that cardstock much but I do like it.  I stamped Serene Snowflakes using Soft Suede and the Champagne Mist.  The ones stamped in the Champagne Mist do glitter.

The saying is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I used the Merry Details Sizzlet to create the bird.  The Red Grosgrain Ribbon is 5/8" and I used the Eyelet Border punch along the bottom edge of the Kraft.

Once again I cased this card from Splitcoast.

Monday's almost gone!

I was so busy today.  I can't believe it is after 6 pm already.  It never seems to end.  My TO DO list that is.  I can't seem to make a real dent in it.  I did take time out today to go to lunch with an old friend that I don't see that often.  It was really good to do that and to catch up.

I have a ton of rub ons and I never think to use them so I did a card yesterday doing just that.  This one was from Merry & Bright that is available in the Holiday Mini on page 25.  I also used one of the saying for the inside.

The base card is Real Red and I embossed the Whisper White with the Petals-A-Plenty folder.  I also used the Ornament punch and a bit of Real Red Grosgrain. 
A super easy card.  Of course they all have to be a bit different if you are using the Rub-Ons.

I can't believe

it's the third Sunday in Advent.  You should see my house or better yet you shouldn't see my house.  I shopped all day Friday and got loads done.  None wrapped of course.  The tree is up with lights only and the boxes with the decorations are all over the living room.  I have been working on my Christmas cards so my craft room is a mess.  My daughter and her friend are coming over today to work on a project so I must clean off one of the tables in the craft room for them.  I have today and tomorrow to get the long list of things I promised myself I would get done this weekend.

Here is a card I made yesterday.  The base card is a quarter sheet of Old Olive.  I did emboss the edge of the Whisper White using the Final Press embossing folder.  I used the big shot Movers & Shapers to create the circle.  I tried using our circle punch but it wouldn't center.  The stamp set I used is Berry Christmas.  While it does have the bird image, I used the Merry Detals Sizzlets to create him.  I tried it both ways and really liked it better this way.

I used Soft Suede to stamp the string.  The idea for this card once again came from Splitcoast.

This is my last work day this week.  Thank goodness as I have so much to do.  I am sure I am not the only one in this boat.  I know Christmas is coming, the date never changes but here I am further behind then usual.  I finished a great book last night.  The Wrong Side of Dead by Jordan Dane.  It is the second in this series.  I really like her books.  Now to decide what is next!

Here is a card I was fooling around with.   I love this set.  I used Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and some DSP that I believe is retired but that's ok.  If you have it use it.  I did add Crystal Effects to the star then Dazzling Diamonds.  I have been looking at all of the samples on Splitcoast using this set and this

Happy Birthday

to Stan.  I know he won't be reading this but I wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday here anyway!  He grew up on a farm in northern Maine so I made this card for him. 
Again I got this off Splitcoast.  He loves tractors and says when we retire we need more land so he can justify buying a tractor! 

The base card is So Saffron then Old Olive and Whisper White.  I sponged the color on the Whisper White and used punches for the tractor.

How's everyone today?

I started the day off at the gym.  I joined for 3 months.  Now we will see how often I go.  I just did 2 miles on the treadmill this morning.  I have to say 6 am comes really early.

My daughter, Joy bought My Digital Studio when it first became available and she made this card for Christmas.  It really came out great.  This just goes to show you that you can use your photos as well as the stamped images provided in the software.
