Vacation

I am having a vacation with some of my girlfriends.  One of them won a fabulous house on the Outer Banks so seven of us headed down there for the week.  I will try to post some pictures for you but I am not bringing my laptop and I find it rather complicated to use the iPad but I will give it a shot.

My husband is home taking care of things there.  I am sure he is enjoying having the house, TV and remote all to himself!

Here are a couple more things from the This and That class.

I am not sure who did this great card.  It was either Louise, Debbie, Cyndy or Tina.  Anyway it's a really great card.

These were made by Tina. 

We have a brand new product coming out.  Simply Pressed Clay and Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds.  The clay is white and Tina used reinkers to color it.  Don't you just love these.  I can't wait to make my own.

This and That class

We got together at Tina's for a This and That class.  We all had our own ideas of what we would be using the book for.  Some of the suggestions were:  travel, recipes, grandchildren, special event, quotes to name a few.  I am doing my on going to Hilton Head.  We go there often and every year I can never remember where we stopped, if it was a good stop, how long to the next route etc.  Even when in Hilton Head -- the name of great resturants that we loved and those we didn't care to go back to.  Things we did and things we didn't get to do.  I started it but didn't make all that much headway as I was recopying the notes I took our last trip down.  Once it is finished, I will share it with all of you. 

These are really great and will be in the new catalog.  Graduation is coming up and they would be perfect for that senior to keep track of those final weeks of school.  The new catalog will be available to order from starting May 31st.  I will have them available at the stack class on May 30th.

One stamp three different looks

Today is the first chance I have had to play around with my new stuff!  I chose Wildflower Meadow to start with.  I made three different cards using this same stamp set and embossing folder.

These were all inspired from samples on Splitcoast stampers.

Here is the first one I did.

I used markers and colored the stamp before stamping.  The colors are Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.

This is the second card using the same set.

I used the brand new Crisp Cantalope on this card.  I then die cut them using the Oval Framelits.  Since taking this picture, I added Silver Dazzling Details to the center of the flowers.

 This was the final card I did and I used the brand new Baked Brown Sugar on this one and then outlined the flowers etc. with the white gel pen.

We will be doing the center card in our monthly stack class on Thursday, May 30th.

Which one is your favorite?  These are three totally different looks using the same stamp and embossing folder.  You really can change things up by using different supplies.

Happy Mother's Day

This is my last day in Hilton Head.  We leave this morning and head home.  We had a fabulous week weatherwise.  Stan played 4 rounds of golf so he was a happy camper.

For once I didn't bring anything to stamp.  The only thing I brought with me is the brand new catalog to make out my wish list.  It is a good thing the catalog is available for a year.  I am going to need it to purchase everything on my list!  I can't wait to share the catalog with you.  You are going to love it.

This area is new since I was last here.  He has fabulous drinks and it is always crowded around his bar.

Another beautiful day in Hilton Head

We have been so fortunate with the weather here.  It was raining on the way down but cleared once we reached the island.  We did have a bit of rain one other day but not all that much.  Otherwise the weather has been perfect.  No humidity, temps in the high 70's low 80's, clear skies - just fabulous.

Here are a few pictures I have taken since arriving.

This was taken outside the Oyster Factory.  We had a fabulous meal there the first night.

This is one of the views from my balcony.  The next few pictures were taken this morning while we were walking on the  beach.

Today we have several things planned but tomorrow we are hoping not to leave the property at all.  Just relax and enjoy and wind down before we have to start on on Sunday.

Last Stack Class card for April

Here is the final one we did in the last stack class.

This was very loosely based on a card by Debbie Henderson.  I did use the color combo she used.  At any rate she inspired this card.  I used Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse plus Whisper White for cardstock.  The piece of DSP is from the paper packs available in the Summer catalog.

This week is flying by.  It seems as if that is the way it goes.  One minute it is Monday and the next it is the weekend.  Hope you have been enjoying your week.

More stack class

Here is another of the cards we made in April's stack class.

Not exactly sure where this came from.  The picture I cased from doesn't have any watermarks etc. on it.  I am thinking I got it from Pinterest.  I haven't been using watermarks either so I know how that goes.

This is a white on white card.  The butterflies were punched from vellium and a rhinestone added to the center.  I love the Baker's twine and think it is perfect here.

Here is another card we made this month in the stack class.

This was cased from the talented Connie Babbert.

The DSP I used was different from Connie's but the card is the same as the one she did.  I love how she made the frame.  You do that using two framelits.  The outer one is from the Apothecary Accents and the inner one is from the Oval collection.  Did you notice the paper piercing?  That really adds to the card.  I used the negative of this to make a First Communion card.

I stamped the cross on vellium and heat embossed it using the white embossing powder.

Here's a stack class card

We made this card in our stack class this month.  I cased it from Ginny Vasvari and she got it out of the Stampin Success magazine.

It's a great card and so easy to do.  The stamp can be found on page 9 of the Spring catalog.  It is part of the Make a Wish set.  It was stamped in stazon and I sponged Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red around the candle.  It was one of those quick cards that you love to make.

April's Christmas card

I have been making 6 Christmas cards each month and this is April's.

This was cased from Lee Conrey.  I just knew I had to make it once I came across it.  You do a little masking to create this card.  The stamp sets used are Serene Silhouettes and Christmas Lodge.  Christmas Lodge is one of those retiring.  I added glitter to the snow as you can see.

Ink:  Marina Mist, Night of Navy and Basic Black

Every year I make over 100 Christmas cards and usually do them after Thanksgiving.  It is really a hectic time of year so I promised myself I would do 6 every month and so far so good.
